Improvisatory Material

Improvisations are, as always, created on the spot by the performer. As creative input, I made sure everyone involved understood the concepts as outlined in the paper, both related to chaos theory and the music of Ornette Coleman. Soloists were encouraged to play modes from the two major tonal centers, but could certainly leave tonality altogether through the use of symmetrical scales such as diminished and whole tone.
