The Curtain Society is a three-piece band based out of Southbridge, Massachusetts. Formed in December of 1988, the trio released a sizable number of cassette EPs and albums under Roger Lavallee's Apostrophe Records banner before signing on with Washington, D.C. based Bedazzled Records in 1993. (Some of the early releases are still in print -- write to Apostrophe Records, 17 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550 if you're interested in acquiring them.) Roger once described the band's sound as "weird combinations of American hookiness and this swirly wall of sound that came out of playing in my room with my equipment, flangers and delays."
